Seagrass - Underwater Heroes

Seagrass - Underwater Heroes is a short animated film for the Eden Project that explores seagrass and it's vital roll as a coastal habitat, but also as a key ally in the fight against climate change.

The animation gives an introduction to seagrass and the threats it faces before looking in more detail at different aspects of the seagrass story.

First we dive into this extraordinary habitat through the eyes of an explorer and discover the amazing species that call seagrass meadows home.

We then ponder the poetic beauty of this environment, so close to shore yet largely unnoticed.

Lastly we take a look at the innovative and effective work being done by conservationists to restore and preserve seagrass, and how we can all play a role in helping seagrass meadows to recover.

The film is part of an exhibit at the Eden Project in Cornwall, made in collaboration with Natural England.
